| Pryor Miller came into the Strawberry
area around 1885. After his marriage in 1888, they moved to Pine,
where most of their children were born. He built this stone house of
rocks from Pine Creek. The lime for cement came from the hill
southwest of Pine. The house featured two fireplaces back-to-back on
the main floor and four bedrooms upstairs.
Teacher, cattleman, landholder, Pryor Miller is remembered as a strong character and a good man. He is buried with his wife in Pine. |
